M.P.H. and M.H.S.A.

HOW TO APPLY:
You may apply using either the SOPHAS or HAMPCAS, but not both. Which application is best for you?

• Use SOPHAS if:
  
  • the program or degrees to which you are applying all reside in schools of public health
  • all of these programs are part of the SOPHAS application system, then it will be easier for you to apply via SOPHAS.

• Use HAMPCAS if:
  
  • you will be applying to programs in health care administration, management, and/or policy
  • some of these programs are not within schools of public health at other universities
  • all of the programs in which you are interested are included in the HAMPCAS application

FOR FALL 2013:

If a department is listed as "open," it is still accepting applications on a rolling basis. Applications submitted to a program is still listed as "open" will be considered until the cohort is filled.

• SOPHAS: You can use the Schools of Public Health Common Application Services to apply for all UM SPH MPH and MHSA programs online.
  • International Applicants: Hard Deadline 1/15/2013
  • Domestic Applicants:
    • HBHE: 2/15/2013 Priority Deadline
    • EHS: 2/15/2013 Priority Deadline
    • EPID: 2/15/2013 Priority Deadline
    • HMP: 2/15/2013 Priority Deadline
    • HMP Executive Masters: 4/15/2013
    • BIOSTAT: 12/15/2012 Priority Deadline
• HAMPCAS: You can use the Healthcare Administration, Management and Policy Centralized Application Service to apply online for the Health Management and Policy M.P.H. and M.H.S.A. programs only.
  • International Applicants: Hard Deadline 1/15/2013
  • Domestic Applicants:
    • HMP: 2/15/2012 Priority Deadline
    • HMP Executive Masters: 4/15/2013

M.S. and Ph.D.

M.S. and Ph.D. applications should be submitted through the Rackham Graduate School online application.

M. S. and Ph.D. department deadlines are listed on the Rackham Department Information Guide.

M.S. and Ph.D. admissions are administered by the Rackham Graduate School and the department you are applying to. Please do not send any M.S. or Ph.D. admissions materials to the UM SPH Admissions Office. Please refer to the Rackham Admissions website or the SPH department websites for more specific admissions information and instructions.

Certificate in the Foundations of Public Health (CFPH)

Apply to the Certificate in the Foundations of Public Heath (CFPH) online program.

The application deadline for Fall 2012 has past. Please contact CFPHinquiries@umich.edu if you have any questions. The application deadline for Winter 2013 is December 1, 2012.
