Dual Degrees

Master of Public Health and Master of Arts (M.P.H./M.A.)
Offered jointly by the programs in International Health, in the department of Epidemiology, and Modern Near Eastern and North African Studies, you receive a degree from both the School of Public Health and the Rackham School of Graduate Studies.

Master of Public Health and Doctor of Medicine (M.P.H./M.D.)
Offered jointly by the School of Public Health and the Medical School, this dual degree promotes public health work by physicians. When admitted to this joint program, you are awarded an M.P.H. degree only upon completion of the M.D. degree and the three terms of M.P.H. coursework.

Master of Health Services Administration and Master of Business Administration (M.H.S.A./M.B.A.)
Two different joint M.H.S.A./M.B.A. degree programs are offered by the UM SPH Department of Health Management and Policy and UM business schools. One program is with the Ross School of Business on the Ann Arbor campus, and the other is with the UM-Dearborn School of Management. After a three-year course of study, students receive an M.H.S.A. from the School of Public Health and an M.B.A. from the business school.

Offered jointly by the Department of Health Management and Policy and the School of Nursing, you receive a degree from both the School of Public Health and the Rackham School of Graduate Studies.

Master of Public Health and Master of Social Work (M.P.H./M.S.W.)
Offered jointly by the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education and the School of Social Work, you receive a degree from both the School of Public Health and the School of Social Work.

Master of Health Services Administration and Juris Doctor (M.P.H. or M.H.S.A./J.D.)
Offered jointly by the Law School and the Department of Health Management and Policy, you receive a degree from both the School of Public Health and the Law School.

Master of Public Health or Master of Health Services Administration and Master of Public Policy (M.P.H. or M.H.S.A./M.P.P.)
Offered jointly by the Department of Health Management and Policy and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, you receive a degree from both the School of Public Health and the Rackham School of Graduate Studies.

Master of Science in Health Services Management and Policy and Industrial Operations Engineering (M.S.)
Offered jointly by the Department of Health Management and Policy and the College of Engineering under the auspices of the Rackham School of Graduate Studies.
