Detroit Hispanic Development Coalition
Angie Reyes, Executive Director
The mission of the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation (DHDC) is to build and develop the strengths and potential of residents, primarily of southwest Detroit, in a culturally appropriate manner, so that barriers to employment, education, and healthy lifestyles are overcome. The services are provided by bilingual/bicultural staff. Programs include adult education (ESL, GED preparation), Work First (job training, placement, case management), counseling (individual, group and family), substance abuse outpatient counseling, HIV/AIDS counseling and testing, and after school and summer youth programs.
