URC
Board
The URC Board is comprised of representatives from each URC partner organization listed below as well as faculty representatives from the University of Michigan Schools of Public Health, Social Work and Nursing. The Board is responsible for identifying priorities of the URC, and for overseeing the development of new community-based participatory research projects and related activities. Steering Committees develop proposals for new CBPR projects and oversee projects after funding has been obtained. The Steering Committees consist of representatives from the URC Board, but may also have additional community organizations represented as well. Members of the URC Board and affiliated project Steering Committees are involved as appropriate in all major phases of the research process, e.g., defining the problem, developing the data collection plan, collecting data, interpreting, sharing, and disseminating the results and developing, implementing and evaluating plans of action to address the issues identified by the research.
