THESIS

• The Public Health virologist should investigate the quantitative dynamics of the virus reproduction system, the immune system control of that reproduction system, and the transmission system that spreads infection through populations

• For HIV this will be shown to

  • help design more effective surveillance
  • help design better vaccines
  • help design better vaccine administration programs
  • help focus interventions to where they have more effect
  • help design better treatment programs
