Comment: On Tuesday, 3 of us found 115 white /yellow morels, after 3 others in the group left for elsewhere. We also found a female turkey sitting on a nest of 15 eggs! It was quite startling when she flew up in front of me as I was checking out a dead elm that she had nested beside.... I also checked some morels sites in Petersburg State Game Area, and found white morels starting to appear there - will go back later.... Hope this is a good omen for morel season - last year was a bust, for me.
