12 oz. Fresh Mushrooms (any kind or a mixture)
12 oz. Morels (use dry - reconstituted)
1 lb. Bacon
1/2 Stick Butter
1 Medium Onion
8 oz. Cream Cheese
8 oz. Italian Blend Shredded Cheese
1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
2 tsp.Worcestershire Sauce
Fry bacon crisp, drain and set aside to
cool.
Use food processor to coarsely chop (I did more than coarsely, short of a paste but
still some pieces) all ingredients
except cheeses).
Combine in
large fry pan and sautè with butter until onions are tender,
approx.15 minutes
Add all spices
and stir in shredded cheese.
Pour mixture
into a large glass pie dish or larger according to amount made.
Bake at 375
degrees for 20 minutes (for larger amount adjust cooking
time).
Serve warm
(not hot) on crackers or garlic toast or party rye bread.
May also be
used as a filling in your choice of pastry or dough.
