Michigan Graduate Receives Snyder Award

Harry E. Grenawitzke has received the 2012 Walter F. Snyder Environmental Health Award from NSF International and the National Environmental Health Association. Grenawitzke is a graduate of U-M School of Public Health.  The Snyder award is given in honor of U-M SPH Professor Walter Snyder who was co-founder and first executive director of NSF International.

Kimberlydawn Wisdom Among 2012 Top Minority Executives in Health Care

Modern Healthcare honored Dr. Kimberlydawn Wisdom, adjunct assistant professor and alumnus of U-M School of Public Health, as one of the top 25 minority executives in healthcare for 2012. Dr. Wisdom is senior vice president of community health and equity and chief wellness officer at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Wisdom. From 2003-10, Wisdom served as the state of Michigan’s first surgeon general. President Barack Obama also appointed Wisdom to the Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion and Integrative and Public Health.
