Programs and DegreesM.P.H. - Master of Public Health Master's-level graduates from HBHE can design, implement, and evaluate education programs and other initiatives that enable people to promote health, prevent illness, and manage disease. They are able to work with people in a variety of community and health care settings. M.P.H./M.S.W. - Master of Public Health/Master of Social Work Offered jointly by the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education and the School of Social Work. A degree is received from both the School of Public Health and the School of Social Work. This dual program provides an opportunity for students to complete both the MPH and MSW degree programs in a shorter amount of time, by allowing students to apply some of their courses towards the requirements of both degrees. Graduates of the doctoral program become public health researchers and teachers who apply social and behavioral science principles to the study of factors affecting health status and health behavior, and to the development and evaluation of programs designed to promote public health. |
